The yellow stick pin is at 17 22' 40.44" N 102 47'12.82" E Elev 594. The pin is close to being in the open area as you entry
the gate. This is 4/1/200 historical view.Across the street there appears to be a foot print of the long silver building in
the Amos Parker mid zoom photo I forwarded the other day. And the sports court appear to be on the footprint of the black
building. So I think it is marked within the 100M x 100M area that Augie says was the size of the site.

The garbage dump that Augie talks about is now a golf course. Wonder what kind of secret stuff they found building it. Augie
said old aerial surveillance negatives would blow into the loran site, and that he should have keep one!!!

Chris

Wide open area sure explains why it was so easy for the TCs to run through the Loran site and create a diversion while they tried a suicide mission on the air base back then. If I ever get my 1/2 frame 35mm slides copied, I have a "mortar-muzzle view" of the station, peeking through the brush outside the compound. The CO and I were making a recon around the area to find the most likely avenue of attack. That's part of the reason for why the sandbags where where they were. Great shots Chris - thanks for sending them along.
73,
Augie
