Miscellaneous: | DEC 1978 - a major receiver manufacturer reported large errors in the Brownville area FEB 1980 - Austron was contracted to invested the RAYMONDVILLE GHOST. The first resulted in a confirmation of a signal distortion. 23 - 28 JUN 1980 - A second investigative trip revealed possible source from Mexico. JUL 1980 - A flight ops determined the likely source was a reflection from the Sierra Madre mountains. However this did raised the questions in the future for the Mid-continental chain. The results was manufactures reengineered the receiver. |
