Station events: <1967: First Loran-C chain with operational Loran-C Teletype communications

1966 AUG 31: Thai security guard reported bandits in the antenna field. Report stated bandits were armed and had fired a shot at him. All hands dispatched to antenna field. After a search of the antenna field all hands reported back on the mess deck, bandits escaped, no casualties.

1966 OCT 07: Station Spirit house blew over in storm, a total loss.

1966 OCT 15: COMSEASIA msg 150100Z OCT 66 declared the chain operational. Sattahip CO designated Coordinator Of Chain Operations (COCO).

1966 OCT 280400: D14 declared the SEASIA chain operational.

1967 MAR 31: CO departed station to assumed command of LORSTA Con Son and returned to his normal duties at LORSTA Sattahip on May 4th.

1967: Station personnel in DaNang to test the system accuracy.

1967: Replacement of a transformer in one of the transmitters. The only spare in the world was in the Sattahip warehouse.
