| Station events: | Station was located near Haeunde village. The city of Pusan was 20 miles to the west. Station experience thieveryfrrom the local population during the existance of the station. Extra seaman billets were assigned for security watches. 10 MAY 1952 - USCG obtained an indefinite lease from the Republic Korean Government. 01 AUG 1952 - 27 JUL 1954 - The KORAN WAR SERVICE MEDAL authorized. 26 NOV 1952 - SN found shot to death - caused by suicide 1956 - Sale of beer authorized on station. 24 AUG - 24 SEP - ETC William A Liming Acting 21 AUG 1957 - Typhoon AGNES impacted station operations 10 JUL 1959 - Commanding Officer is robbed in his stateroom by a pair of local men. 01 JUL 1964 - Station operations transferred to TSUSHIMA. |
